DAB aerial question

which way round should I mount this on my windscreen ■■
horizontal or vertical ■■
thanks in anticipation

DAB transmissions use vertical polarisation, so you should mount it vertically.

Sent using smoke and mirrors

thank you,
I might try to hide it behind the trim down the side of the screen .

Tucking it right in there might not be the best idea as it could end up being shielded by the metal in the pillar. A better location might be to mount it inside the (plastic) air deflector on the cab roof.

its actually going in the car… i also have an amplified splitter which uses the original aerial signal and outputs a digital signal as well as the analogue one… it has worked ok previously, so might just use that…

I suppose it depends whereabouts you are (and will be when in the car) and which DAB stations you want to listen to.

But I still think you’ll get noticeably better results by mounting the aerial even a few centimetres away from the A-pillar rather than tucked in hard against it.

ok, thanks for the advice.
