Cyclist with a stick

On the way home just now, fairly narrow road in the middle of the city, not wide enough for two, say, Mondeos to pass each other, cyclist coming towards me. Then I spot a red triangle, smaller version of a wide load flag, seemingly floating in the air about a meter away from said cyclist. Attached to, had to get fairly close to see, a bamboo cane, attached horizontally to the front of cyclists bike :open_mouth:
Kind of admire eccentrics, but can you imagine the potential for disaster? Really wish I had the hindsight to go round the block and get a photo or shoot some vidā€¦
Top of the road, waiting at the lights and another cyclist was approaching. This one had a uniform, so we had a natter about the way I admired the guys idea but how ill-advised he was to do anything about it. The uniform agreed. Could be an interesting conversationā€¦

My all time favourite was on police camera action the man on the motor bike with the planks horizontal about 6ft wide on the back

Hope he was insured, if he touched my car with it, it would be going straight to Vauxhall to get t-cut, at his expense. Iā€™m going to adopt his attitude next Sunday when Iā€™m down the canal, cyclists fly past me and my dog, I will engineer a two meter pole, electrified of course, with barb wire wrapped round itā€¦ Oh and a camera on my head, so I can record the abuse I shout at passing cyclists, who will have to cycle in the canal to pass meā€¦ after all I am a vulnerable canal path user!!! :smiley:

I thought it was to legitimise thwacking school-girlā€™s calves/thighs/bottoms in summertime :blush:

can I please have one of these to stick on the front of my unit to stop other ā€œprofessional driversā€ trying to take the paint off my front bumper when they dive in front of me after overtaking.
