Curtainsider Buckles

I assume all curtain buckles have to do their job etc. and fasten. What would be the fine if they were deemed unusable and would a fine be multiplied by every u/s clip that was present ? thanks anybody …

Another inch of the ■■■■ Baton of Dooooooom for every unusable clip.

With no lube.

If one was not secured I would imagine it would be overlooked. These things are exposed to the elements so they will fail. That being said, if your curtain was flapping about in the wind Mr VOSA would have something to say about it.

I think your backside would be flaming inferno and the vehicle would have a PG9 cat I /IN and a nice hi-viz loop adorned to its wheels until the fault is either rectified / vehicle recovered , or proven the load contained within is secure and vehicle safe to travel. :grimacing:

.
I assume you did do your walk-around checks prior to departure and recorded all defects and notified your Co. of said defects ? :unamused:

Your dooomed, i say , dooomed . :stuck_out_tongue:

FYI

Throughout this Guide, recommendations are
indicated by a letter in the action column, as follows
“I” denotes an immediate prohibition
“D” denotes a delayed prohibition
“IN” advisory defects not considered serious
enough to prohibit the vehicle. They are reported
on a Vehicle Inspection Notice explained in the
following paragraph.

Surly if the curtain is none load resistant, and nowts flapping about you’d only need a few buckles? Especially with 4 ratchet straps securing a pallet of crisps.
