Hello Bewick,
I do know who Paul Hodgson Bulk Tippers are. They run 5 Tippers (all Scania, plus one 2011) based at Risehow & Thomas Armstrongs Yard at Flimby. I belive they ran more than 5 wagons (10 lorries I think), don’t know what happened to the rest thought.
So Bewick, I do know how they are!

If you went to the same “academy” as CG you’d be lucky if you were able to read or spell by the time you left!!! He must have been one of the lucky ones!You can at least get the idea of what he’s on about and reach some sort of conclusion as to what he means,usually it can be narrowed down to something or someone within 5 mile radius of Wigton.Cheers Bewick.

So maybe Waverton in range but Thursby out, there again

is Thursby a place or a hualage contractor from down your way, and how many tippers has he got!!! Oh dear what have i started .

Anyone rememeber Mandales Transport Maryport area they had a 6wheeler Leyland I dont recall the drivers name but he was a big bloke, allways laughing & carrying on, they used to get work from Inter City Transport, & load at the Carnation Milk Factory at Dumfries in the 50/60s.
