Can anyone remember Flint Transport? They ran a 6 wheeled Volvo F86 flatbed on contract and in the livery of animal feed manufacturers Barkers & Lee Smith in the early 70’s,I think they were based around the Appleby area.
A very old RJ & I Monkhouse of Longtown, they are still in business today.
A brand new Stobart Energy Scania, a 4x2 is a bit unusual.

I watched the early Border news “erfguy” so I’m glad I’m no on me own !! Got to say though Tink did make a point of referring to tarmacing when “he” gets permission but I don’t know what impression you got of him but the way he was dressed (a ■■■■■■■ mess!) you could just imagine him knocking at your door " Tap of the morning t’ you Sur,we have just finished a big job down the road and we have a bit of black stuff left, sure we have,so would you be interested in my Boyos skimming over your drive Sur,honest to God those dandelions won’t grow back for a few weeks and by that time Sur we’'ll be miles away sure we will" "got to be cash Sur though I can fly you into the Bank in my helicopter sure I can " !!! I wouldn’t fancy employing Tink to surface a runway I was going to land my Jumbo on !! Cheers Bewick.

What no Stobarts? (aka The saviours of road haulage) I mean, we have all seen the TV series, it would be the end of the world as we know it.
