cattle wagon man:
This ■■■■■■■■ hauliers well-presented Scania was parked in Brough, a couple of miles from Warcop , over Easter weekend, when I took the photograph. Maybe too far from ■■■■■■■■ Gills hometown for him to expand on any details.
Cheers , cattle wagon man.
Hello CWM
Certainly not to far marra for me to explain further!
According to my records, Heron run 4 Scania R Topline’s ( 3 R620’s and 1 R560).
They work for T R Handley on bulk haulage work out of Shap Quarry.
They company seems to buy all its trucks new and sell them on privately and they seem to buy new tippers too.

Hi ■■■■■■■■ Gill,
Thanks for the information, re: Heron Scania.
Mebbbe if your Fiat Punto can`t travel very far , then your transport knowledge can make up for that.

Hello CWM
Your welcome marra
You’re not far wrong their marra ! My Punto sometimes struggles to get into Carlisle
Question for you CG. I was at the Crofters Hotel at Garstang yesterday looking at some old motors when this went by so the question is have Dents gone into milk haulage or has somebody bought this unit and left the name on it?

Hello truckfing
Excellent photo marra
Dents have done Milk Haulage for a while but they only have the one tanker as seen in your photo
They first started doing it for there own dairy heard but when they pulled out of dairy faming, they continued to offer milk haulage services to local farmers.
Talk about a parking place near the M 6 Motorway , - heres one UNDER the motorway. :unamused: :sunglasses:  G.W. Taylors Scania and drawbar loaded with straw keeps dry during a rain shower on Sunday morning.
The motorway bridge is next to the diesel pumps , on the A 65 at Crooklands.

Canal Garage - often get trucks parked under there. I doubt I’d be able to sleep for the noise
That tank trailer behind Dents looks a bit of a joke the unit looks longer than the trailer in fact there could be bigger farm tanks on some of the bigger farms. Eddie.

We had a good few (urban fuel tanks) that where about this size, handy for tight spots.
Heading for THE MAYFIELD on Sunday morning my mate pointed out a motorway bridge at Hackthorpe where he set a load of fertilizer in plastic bags on the bridge pillar supporting wall, ideal for the farmer keeping them dry and the right height for loading onto a farm trailer.

A Les. Watson Scania , parked at Canal Garage , Crooklands , on Sunday morning.
Unusual for a curtainsider behind one of their tractor units.
Cheers , cattle wagon man.
Its not that unusual CWM marra.
I always see their trucks witha chipliner one and very rarely seen them if a timber or flat trailer!
They seem to own two of these chipliners and they haul wood products in them for A W Jenkinson and Sheffield & Co from Southwaite
