The pictures are absolutely brilliant. Thanks a lot for sharing them with us Paul. They’ve given me the motivation to get my finger out and post the only picture I could find of my Dad’s old wagon, at the Alloa Gala Day around about 1981

hi strawman
i am sorry to hear the sad news about your dad. i remember him very well.
he was a gentleman and not only was it a pleasure to have known him but also to have worked with him.
if my memory serves me well i believe your dad was good mates with john henderson. do you know what
became of john who i first met when he worked for scotways.

Hi Phil. Steve phoned me to let me know you left message. I did here about Val, and Peeky and we lost Sully since too. Yes I was a Crokerton jockey thats where I got my class one, I am working for Essex Probation, well up unto the end of this week, I am leaving and will be working for the Church. (not Barry Church) the Holy one. I still see some of the boys, Joe Bunce, Lamo, Dave Terry sometimes. I have a Nigerian wife now and have a home in Nigeria, would be nice to retire and go out there to live for a few years, but have a 16 year old step daughter to worry about, give her another couple of years then I can kick her out and then maybe… When you come back for a visit get Steve to let me know and maybe we can meet for a breakfast or something.

Bless You Phil and all the old friends and colleagues

Just another bump for this thread
