Yes Any drink/drug/failing to provide offences are a big issue with employers and insurers.
To be honest it’s not going to be easy getting a job due to the fact he’s a new driver, I had a hard time without any endorsements.
Try to make friends with owners of small local haulage companies you may well get a job or at least they might aid you with a bit of bs to get you a start somewhere else.
It wont be easy for him but can be done but might not get the best paid job at 1st but if he is determined he can do it
It will be hard as a new driver it will be hard because of his past
