Smiths of Denny, Forsyth of Denny and I Craigs of Denny all have identical liveries, this always puzzled me, are they all one firm or amalgamated, or all just seperate companies…
I. Craigs are the ones pictured above, Smiths of Denny are dark blue and red without the light blue strip and forsyths are yellow IIRC. As far as I know they are all still going although the last few Craigs trucks I saw on Friday were plain white with black lettering on the sun visors and that was it. Hope thats not another livery that will disappear.
Forsyths are definitely yellow with red lettering.
Note the Date on the Picture above it was taken in Ayr just over a Month ago.
Ben.
good luck .
Definately not finished, i drive for them and still going strong, really busy! The livery is not going 2 disappear, the white with black lettering ones do a lot of work for glennon timber so they just left them white but we r getting new motors in all the time and they r still getting painted!

What make of trucks are Craigs buying at the moment ? , I notice a mix of Scanias , MANs , Renaults , etc . how are they all performing .?.

Buying mostly MANs at the moment, got a few Renaults in but they are going to b mostly on the logs, Renaults are getting good mpg and MANs not to bad either on the fuel, believe they are better than the Scanias, dont think we are getting any more Scanias, eventually will just b a mixture of MAN and Renault.

Many thanks for your information JamieR85 , what was the problem with the Scanias ?.
It’s a long time since I lived & worked in Scotland so the answer to this question I’m asking may make a few of you get your thinking caps on!
Is Craigs of Denny in anyway owned or connected to Ian Craig who worked at Inter City Transport & Trading at Old Inns ■■■■■■■■■■■ approx 40yrs to 45yrs ago ?
I vaguely recall after Inter City he was a “brick factor” !
Great guy…
