have a good one guys, I won’t be able to make it 'cos I’ll be working  Send my regards if he remembers me (Radcliffe Eurotrans). he left me his “business” card last time I saw him, he said if I was stuck for work to give him and Don C a ring. I was layed off about a couple of months later but never took up the offer but ended up on a bit of agency work for ASDA at Dartford!!

cheers guys, here’s to the memories!

Hi Bob,
Thanks for the reply, Im very pleased to know that you are stll alive and kicking, it was just that I hadnt seen you on. I did a silly thing, I had all your e-mails saved, with all the jokes, all the Names and e- adresses of everybody, AND I clicked at the wrong time, before the computer had settled down, as you do when your in a rush, AND I deleted everything. Silly old bugger eh?

mr cairns has just come out of hibernation, happens around this time every year.

just to say a great site ,brings back happy days going with my brother in law tony [RIP] at 49  ,He use to run out of clacton on sea for eat.hopefully post some photos soon.

hello chaps!
i reckon bobby heath looks so glum in the pic on the 1st page , cos its a daf hes got instead of his beloved scania!! the poor old girl looked battered and faded last time i saw it ,mind you it was in 2001 when i worked for youngy and i think bob was still there then? might have my dates wrong though cos i,ve had that many jobs! oh not a good reference!!. when i worked there i used to run with a fella called steve smith,he started a little while after me,he used to work for collisons and lived in harold hill, essex.every where i went he used to turn up! like a bad penny!!good bloke though wicked sense of humour and no patients with people whose first language was not english!he had a left hand drive mega wheeled daf on 3 axles, wierd looking thing ex denbys, but at least you knew it was steve,he done a bunk to amg at north weald last time i spoke to him i was in carissio one of our favorite hiding places!i remember (ginger)harry and johnny patterson too as my dad used to work for martintrux,he used to do barcelona every week for them after an altercation in la belle italia. john and harry were regulars on the same route.
