Crack onto Macon

No wonder you got your screen smashed in with that silly pendant hanging in the window, I hope that was someone elses motor, a SE London boy like you should be supporting the Mighty Lions, I know you used to live near Palace but nobody in their right mind would admit to that kind of faux pas :exclamation:

well that was my truck and i am a dedIcated “GOONER” even though i
am a sarf London boy (SE20) the guys who threw the bricks at my cab
were in fact Spanish Millwall supporters how do i know that ? well the
bricks were made of paper

Nah mate, the paper bit refers to the Millwall Brick, a properly folded copy of the currant bun makes a very good club, it passes through metal detectors & looks innocent when folded to fit in your sky rocket, another couple of folds & unconciousness is only a swipe away, or so I hear

i know that i was refering to there iqs

Dreva, you wouldn’t be suggesting that our ‘No one likes us we don’t care’ brethren are are yobbos are you? I think I know Tyrone & the blokes the size of a house, he’s more likely to use a reel of paper than a newspaper!

well guys i have sent him a PM i have no idea who he is but he seems to know enough about me to know me well and i did knock about around SE1 in
the past so come on Tyrone put us out of our misery and reveal yourself
to the boys on the topic

whos motor was this one bob■■?

That old Scania looks like an old Robinsons motor, they had a couple of 111s & 141s, they used to pull out of Francis Packaging at Blackheath, as I remember they had paddy plates on the 141s, they may have had a few 2800s too but cant be sure.

As for who am I, well that’s on a need to know basis & you know the rest

One of you will guess sooner or later, I recognise a lot of the pics on here, of lorries/places/faces, same for the Old london Hauliers & the International/Middle East posts. My first motor was a Thames Trader & the first time I drove on the right was in a Guy Big J & by the time I got back 6 weeks later I was black as the Ace of Spades & not all of it was dirt

One more clue, I HATE ERFs with a passion, if you know me that’s a BIG clue

Hi Bob. This was near Como. Great photos, regards Alan

whos motor was this one bob■■?

well i believe that motor was either Mickey Barr’s or Billy Peacock’s
i think it was WOO718S but im not 100% sure i know the inside was
plastered with stickers of all descriptions coz i spent two hours at Wrexham
taking them all of coz it looked riduculas the driver in the cab could be
Tony Salsese because he always wore those type canvas slip on’s but
hell that’s a long time ago we was in Speedwell Street Deptford then
early 80’s, Tyrone is right about the irish plates we had about three i think
Vic has some pic’s somewhere of those motors it’s a shame he ain’t got
a computer coz he has got more photo’s than me :open_mouth: :open_mouth:
:bulb: Tony Salsese hated ERF’S but then he lived in Brockley
PS :exclamation: Vic has just informed me and he is dead right the motor with the
flash door panels was LVW and the driver was in fact Nick the Greek
(Nikki Constandi).
also we have just found out today that JIMMY MULLINS who worked with
us on Robinsons died some time ago through cancer another pioneer
goes to that TIR park in the sky he was a great guy RIP JIM :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

This is a pic of a Robinsons Scania from an earlier thread ‘Woolpit’ I think

Regards Pat

me dad took that photo of the one wiyh the door open

Me & Crack on have posted a few Mckellar pics on here but none of them in the old colours Mckellar had.

Suppose it was cheaper to sticker them up than a full spray job, shame because we used to stand out!

Mind you our solitary Daf looked a bit pony!

I posted this before somewhere.

An old mate who worked for Hewsons / Ellerpack was telling me before my first trip to Italy. Dont worry Malc. If you get stuck, just tag onto a McKellar motor, them boys know what they are doing.

The same thing was said about following them through the tunnel as the Italians kept it open for the McKellar post :stuck_out_tongue:

Nice one Jacko but you say about the DAF Ian’s first ever new motor was
wait for it yes an Iveco big Arthur had it new in 1977/78 :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:
