Hello I’m new ,as once you all were , anyway I passed my car test 1993 , I’ve done and past 1a&1b 100 question theory and hazard perception , im trying to book my cpc case study test but it doesn’t come up on the list on the government website ■■ Do I need to get a school to book it or am I missing something ,thanks
You’re missing the fact that you don’t need to do it!
As a '93 pass you have C1 entitlement already, therefore you have the option of completing 35 hrs CPC training or doing the part 2 and 4 tests.
The benefits of the 35 hrs include no test , so you can’t fail, you might learn a lot in the 35 hrs. It can be done online from £35 per 7 HR day so it’s cheaper than the 2 tests.
However, if your time is more important to you, you can still book the tests, but it’s a little difficult, if you have a good school you’re already with they should be able to book it for you.
Also worth asking your chosen training school if they offer CPC training hours when you are doing your on road training - you can get many of the required 35 hours if that is an option

What’s a digicard ? I’m mainly doing my licence so I can drive a large recovery truck / start my own business maybe

I spoke with PSTT about this issue, (on behalf of a Driving School I run ADR for), seems this only works with going from C to CE.

What’s a digicard ?
The card that goes in the tacho and records your daily duties
They replaced the old frisbees - sorry - round cardboard analogue cards

The issue that may block you from booking CPC case studies may be the fact that you were treated as CPC qualified between 2009 and 2014. You do have the option of doing initial CPC because you haven’t previously held a card, but it may require a phone call to enable booking it.
As mentioned, the 35 hours is the other option.

It does require a phone call. Once you eventually get through to them, it’s quite straightforward.
