i have the driving goods vehicles book and the guide to the drivers cpc book and the theory disc which i havent used since i passed my theory was going to give it to the people who organised my funding as they are continuing to run the course i have been on but have limited resources or shall i wait until ive done my mod 2 will it still be usefull to me or shall i just carry on reading the driving goods vehicle book which i have read once and going over it again now.
Im probably sounding a bit extra but i have really got to pass 1st time as i have a job to walk into as a class 1 driver but have to get it all done before end of march or they will have to advertise the job and ive still got mod 2, class 2 training and test, mod 4, then class 1 training and test to do.
Is it better or should i say quicker to hold onto my licence and send it off myself or to send it wait and do mod 4 is it possible to do mod 4 and mod 3 on the same day, or can you do mod 4 before mod 3.

both can be done on same day if they can be booked with the DSA booking center - not always possible.
If you can pass mod 4 before mod 3 then that would be ideal.
if not, and you want to do it all asap, then I would do this -
pass mod 3 and have examiner deal with licence
when licence back from DVLA, there may be a short time before you can start the CE training so get a mod 4 test in
OR
fit a mod 4 test in during the CE training - it can be done with a CE vehicle
PS - many schools are getting a mod 4 test done DURING the mod 3 ‘C’ training

This is really pushing it especially as you have not yet started C training !!!
If you started C training tomorrow then that would take you into the first week in March.
Assuming you pass C first time then the licence has to come back from DVLA so that you can start CE training - most schools will not start CE training as the training school cannot say how long that will take (DVLA are not always quick) - until then they cannot book you in for a CE test until they know you have the licence back.
I reckon you are looking at starting CE training at some time during April at the earliest.
I would say that a more realistic CE test date would be the middle to latter part of April
maybe i should send a cheque in when i send my licence off when i do pass not assuming i will past 1st time just hoping i will lol with no name on it and a lettter saying if i get my licence back within a couple if days the person dealing with it can cash it lol. Well all i can do is hope then and keep pushing am going to phone them on monday see if they can fit me in to start training early anyway thanks for the advice rog a book of knowledge as ever.
he aint my boss yet its the company that my dad works for but i spoke to my dad today and he said i would probably be ok as there is a driver retiring during april my old man spoke to him and they are going to speak to the gaffer tomorrow and say if i am not ready by the time he is date to retire he will stay on until i am. So not so much pressure now but still want it done asap as im sick of being on the dole 6 months now and it is really doing my bloody head in and the worst thing is the goverment keep going on about the unemployment rate i was going to apply for a job working nights start at 8 finish at around half 3 thought perfect that will do if i can arrange my driver training for the afternoon will get enough sleep and will be earning again and bringing in some money for my family only to find out if i get it i will have to pay for my course myself which i just could not afford to do right now and why should i save up for a year when i could get it free now. Still wish i was working now though. Oh ad this job depends on an assement drive with the company 1st how much is the going bung rate lol still a way off though by the sounds of it was getting my hope up too much.
