Coventry Keyfuels

Well. Its a long story.

Basically our diesel tank at work was leaking. So the management changed it for a bunded tank. Had a little 2 stroke petrol engine in it. This no long works. Apparently it was refueled with diesel :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

And no, it wasn’t me. I know what a lawnmower engine looks like :unamused: :unamused:

So, 80 percent of the fleet are in the yard this evening practically dry for fuel. Got a keyfuels card. However, on the 1/4 a tank I don’t think I’ll make the M1 J29 truckstop to refill. :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Anyway. So. Can some people please furnish me with the following details. Pretty please  I would actually like to work tomorrow… :unamused: :unamused:

Keyfuels Sites/Garages in Coventry (CV1-CV6) or summat like that, and a ā€œcontactā€ to be able to order a fresh booklet :frowning:

Thank you all for reading this at least and in your mind blaming me; I aim to please

Cheers

have you tried google, I came up with this cscgroup.org.uk/ddsites.htm there looks like 3 in Coventry. But they are Diesel Direct sites.

come off the m6 at junction 2 and take the a4600 towards town for about a 1/4 mile. the first texaco/snax garage on the left is keyfuels, or it was about 6 months ago.

My book lists 3 for those post codes:-

  1. Binley woods s/stn
    60-62 Rugby rd
    Binley Woods
    CV3 2AX
    2)Snax 24-Woodway
    120-124Hinckley rd
    Woodway
    CV2 2EU
    3)Ford & Slater
    Old Brs Coventry
    Rowley rd
    CV3 4PY

Last one is questionable on HGVs though?

Hope that helps ā€œkeep you on the roadā€

try Keyfuels site locator

text get hgv to 84188

or

get all
get next - for the next closest site

( not case sensitive, but remember the space)

costs your text message cost +50p

there’s also an online search facility at cplpetroleum.co.uk/fuel_cards

Oooooh

Thank You All!

Especially the phone one!! Kewl or what

I’ve printed out that list from cscgroup as in the first post (sorry, was watching TV at the time    )

But I’ll save this thread / print it as it is usefull

The Ford Slater garage no longer does fuel though ;(

Yep the one at Ford and Slaters has closed now!!!

I wish they would not keep closing these sites as I need to get diesel 24hrs a day,

And if they keep shutting the bunkers, its a real pain

There is a new site At Lincoln Farm truck stop just off A45 not far from M42 junction, but its would be a pain to get in and out at night as its usually rammed full in evenings

Also I believe Keyfuels is accepted at all Morrisons sites if you wagon is small enough to fit under the canopy.

Thanks DiscoPete

Looks like I’m gonna be getting some more miles in now to and from work ;(

:unamused: :unamused: :unamused: ā€œTemporaryā€ relocation to Garretts Green, Bham" :frowning: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

One driver has already demanded that the company pay part of our fuel costs for travelling a bit further to get to/from work :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Sorry to make you splutter your tea all over the monitor, I thought it’d make you laugh   Cue me for driving, oh yeah, Peugeot 205 diesel that does average about 60mpg

Talking of Keyfuels / Diesel Direct, can anyone give me a list of the motorway MSA’s that take this card?

The only ones I know are Tibshelf on the M1, Lymm on the M6, Peterborough on the A1M and Winchester on the M3. I would especially like to know if any of the MSA’s on the M6/A74M up to Glasgow take the card as I didn’t have a directory with me and nearly ran out coming back from Perth to Bradford on Friday/Saturday. :frowning:

strensham n/b

Rob, I’ve done a print out of that list. If you’re nippy with a spreadsheet you could tidy it up a bit better…

I’ll be harassing work for a booklet if I get a chance…

Have you considered the phone service?? :unamused: :unamused:

Hmm. Everyone else gets a different sort of premium rate phone line :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

We get a premium rate diesel line!!! :unamused: :unamused:

Well would you believe it. I was going to stop at both of those but stopped at Crawford MSA (or whatever it’s called) instead and that was a Shell and they didn’t do them. I made it back with what I had in the tank in the end  .

The last few times I’ve called at Lymn, there been no fuel for Fuelserve/Key Fuel card holders, dunno whats wrong, but a bloke from key fuels rang me on a courtesy call :open_mouth: and he did’nt know why either, but promised to find out and ring back, which he did’nt, so I still don’t know. :unamused:

All Nightowl sites take keyfuels/diesel direct, fuelserveand uk fuels cards but they are all automated so you need a PIN number.

Severn View (Aust) - M48 J1 (just on the English side of the old Severn Bridge).

Still the drivers club is ā€œComing Soonā€.

That post was in October last year, so I am now wondering how soon they mean by ā€œsoonā€. :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:
