Can you just leave your digicard in the tacho all the time and leave it on rest or do you have to take it out every night? and printouts are these for vosa and when you have had an hours issue and to write a reason? cannot find the answers in Lowes 700 pages!!

It’s up to you whether you take the card out or leave it in, but if you leave it in you should record the location for the start and end of every shift.

Personally I’ve always taken mine out but some people prefer to leave theirs in so …

You only need to do printouts if you need to write a manual entry on one, such as if you run over your driving time and need to write an explanation on a printout to cover yourself, or for any other reason that you deviate from the regulations.

Legally required printouts must be kept with you for 28 days then handed in to the transport operator.
