Well done, Newcastle wanted it more than us, hopefully it’s not the start of a collapse for us, it would be nice for Slot to win the league in his first season. :+1:

Thanks mate…
And I think the league is safe for you this season.

Fully deserved today and happy for the fans. Newcastle really do have some of the longest suffering fans (not anymore). Liverpool simply did not turn up on the day but that takes nothing away from how brilliant the Toon were.

Not a fan of Liverpool at all but fair play to Arne Slot in his post match interview, simply said that Newcastle were the better team and deserved to lift the trophy. Even when the interviewer kept probing about things like whether their mid week Champions League loss to PSG or tiredness was a factor he refused to use that as an excuse. Wish more managers could come out and be humble in defeat rather than trying to find excuses for why they lost.

Pretty impressive when you look at their run in the competition, Chelsea in the QF, Arsenal over 2 legs in the SF and Liverpool today, not bad when you consider those teams are 5th, 2nd and 1st in Premier league presently.

Now just need my beloved Nottingham Forest to secure that top 4 finish so we can hear that famous Champions League anthem at the City Ground next season. :folded_hands:
