Got any of Santa Fe Express,sure they were from Stroud,Wincanton took them over in the 90s and we "inherited2 some of their well-worn Mercs at Maltby,about 1994.

They were based at Stoke orchard Cheltenham only Doug Gobey transport are in their old yard now also they featured in Truck magazine in the eightes.cheers Flourpower.

Had a spell, think late '80’s early '90’s used to do an evening trip in to them about once a week. Driver would load on his way back in at the end of his day & I would nip down with it after tea, nice little run in the summer, always a quick tip & back up sharp-ish! Seem to remember it was better to take the second turn off to Cheltenham, coming down from the Midlands, on the M5 & turn back up northward, pretty much a straight road to their depot.

I was told there was a transport co. operating out of Southrop (Lechlade) I dont know how they got round those bends?.
