The French have decided to introduce a overtaking ban for vehicle’s over 3.5 tonnes . At the moment the only signs are on the overhead motorway signals . Maybe its just in bad weather they have done this 
And it only seems to be one way as well 
maybe its just Warberers with an exemption… 
With it being on a matrix and not a solid sign I would say it’s with the weather and only temporary.

Its more than 3 years mate … coffeeholic told me they started it in 2000 … The overtaking ban has now been lifted … now its a sign telling us about salage instead !
