grumpy old man:
One or two of the drivers from (I think) the Cheaster le street depot need a bit more training on reversing artics. I watched one of them (again) trying to reverse into the delivery point for our village mini market and it was painful, he had the whole village stopped for 10 minutes and still he couldn’t manage it. Eventually he just drove off, god knows what happened to the delivery. OK, it’s a bit tight, but he was reversing on his side (the side he could see) non of the blind side stuff. Volvo unit, single axle trailer.
I know it sounds conceited but I could have popped it in first go and I haven’t touched an artic for 10+ years.

They didnt go to the old school My wife an me went to Craster for a day out ,fella pulled into road leading to carpark (closed ) with a Range Rover n tandem caravan i said reverse in that gateway i,ll watch ya back, i cant reverse says he. i did it then said get some lessons pal

Have noticed now that the Co-Op contract around the south is now split between Norbert dentressangle and win canton. All of the new trucks i saw from the andover depot etc… all carried N.D logo’s on the cab but spotted a new one with a Wincanton logo on the cab.

It just shows how sad I am when I can remember both my mother’s and my grandmother’s Co-op membership numbers.

Nice photo Mike. Must be early in a morning when that was taken as Granby Road was always choc-a-bloc when I lived out that way.
