Hi folks
I’m looking for info/suggestions on the euro scene. I’ve got a fair bit of experience around Benelux with both Dutch and uk firms but want a bit further afield. I’m in a position now where I can manage 3/4 weeks away at a time, would even consider 6 weeks if the jobs good. I’ve got full cpc and doing my ADR in a couple of weeks. I keep hearing Dixon international mentioned as a decent outfit and their work sounds good Spain/Italy. I’m thinking about jumping in the car and going knocking on doors. So any advice would be great
S&K in Barry South Wales seem to have drivers that have been there fir many years.
Pulleyn at Reading.Pharmaceutical fridge work.
Europe/Scandinavia and Turkey or Russia.
Ask for Scott.Crb check required.
Brian Yeardley at Wakefield.;
Lhd units.Groupage to France/Spain and Italy.
Em Rogers.Italy.
Turners and Matthews.Euro work.
Ray White.Euro work.Fridges.
Peter Green Evercreech Somerset.Fridge work.Euro.
Thanks for the info, 2 names you mentioned are on my list and the others I didn’t realise they went over the water. I’ve started my crb for pulleyn’ s, but not contacted them till I have everything in place. As for S&K, I’ve seen other posts regarding them and they seem to be advertising jobs at the mo. Will you actually do “continental” or is it more likely to be Belgium and back?
Sk is Uk tramping or the Belgium runs home weekends or Euro wirk anywhere from Poland to Italy.
Or Mortimers Eat more chips that is now Broughton transport ktd at Broughton Gifford near Melksham.
Go in there to ask Toby Ovens.
Ralph Davies is mostly Uk work with some continental work.

Place a free ad in the truck mags offering your services.Never know an owner driver may need cover fir hols\sickness or over Xmas for the citrus mad dash for cash.

I hear they’re quite decent and run legal. I’m in 2 minds whether to jump on a ferry and visit a few, then your right there in front of them

They told me you need irish bank account.
Who was that? I was under the impression that alot of firms over there have English drivers and help you with the tax, bank etc. not sure how you would get an Irish bank acc without an Irish address
If you do get on the ferry to Ireland and knock on doors, take everything you need in case they ship out to Europe the same day.
Some basic provisions to start with.Later on get more stuff.
Night out bedding.Gas cooker and some Aldi/Lidl tins of food.
If no tacho records for the last 28 days an attestation activity letter is required.
Or pay a 3000 euro fine for no records.
Find out the days of truck bans in Europe.
Religous festivals and public holidays.
Some can last a few days. And the ban starts the night before and ends at night of the last day so driving at night is the option.
Check all the truck documents to see if they are valid and not out of date.
