Somebody did mention about swapping trucks on a trip.several times don’t no how true it is .
I would imagine swaping the trailers but not units,as that would (zb)off most drivers having to move home all the time

i recently worked for this company on class two working from waltham cross.
it was one of the worst companies i have ever worked for!!!
they didnt tell me much about what the job entails before i started it with good reason. it entailed loading a lorry with heavy pallets of vegetables up to seven times a day from local vegetable nurseries-monotonous work.
sometimes it takes 2 3 hours for them to tip you back at the depot
my shift was meant to be twelve hours but this often rolled over to fourteen hours as a result of this so i never knew what time ill be finishing. and got no extra pay for working extra hours
the feelibg i got when being spoken to over the phone(the only way theyll ever talk to you)was of total insignificance it was like working for a bunch of zombies
four weeks into the job they turned round and said my contract is due to finish but they have a new job doing the same work and same hours but six days a week instead of five-for the same money!!!
i declined their generous offer
if you are in work already and are tempted to increase your salery slightly working for these a holes stay put unless you want bad hours bad organisation bad working conditions and no life.
you have been warned
HA! That was nice of them!
I work there its not that bad as long as you get on with the other driver. They have a silly thing with a number 1 driver that causes tension as some think they are the dogs doodahs. And you have to take your kit out when you finish. But with the right guys its a cushy number. 28 k plus nights out.
they are after drivers for the gibraltar run at the moment.

Do you have to speak Eastern European to have a better chance ?
The criteria for the job is to wear flip flops and an Aldi orLidl bag for your kit.

That’s me sorted then as i live in flip flops outside work and i’m sure i can find an Aldi bag somewhere.

Sounds like a good number for a husband and wife team. £56000 per year between them PLUS night out money!! Minimal expenses living in a truck. Do that for a couple of years and you would have a lovely deposit for a house!
They have quiet a few married couples there.
I have only seen one team of poles and one romainian couple on the gib run. Most of the agency drivers on uk work are foreign.
Apparently its not as good as it used to be. But i have worked at far worse places.
If anybody dont mind double manning then give them a bell. They are definitely short of drivers cause i am going solo tonight.
sealane are advertising at £625 p/w +£50 bonus if your truck is clean and undamaged + £25 p/n night out allowance your own truck and home every weekend ? why would anybody want to double man down to spain ?

I read it as £625 including nights out and £50 bonus. So in actual fact on 4 nights out the basic is actually £475
