Complaints about your driving

dozy:
the idiots we’ve got too put up with every day…

…and it looks like you’re one of them. No surprise there. :unamused:

Muckaway:
Memorable complaints I’ve had about me were;
In a box junction (I was turning right).
The classic “a stone blew off your tipper” when I was loaded with sand and sheeted up.
Holding someone up on the A420 (single carriageway).
“A brick fell off your lorry” when I was loaded with clay (and sheeted).
Tooting up ladies. I admit to this one, on many occasions.
Making too much noise in Burford. Loaded going downhill, Jake Brake on, scared tourists.

I had the same thing. A lorry behind me rang my boss to tell him I was “only doing 35”. I was doing 40 - it was a regular run and I always set my limiter to 40, it was 2nd nature. But seeing as I was being told I was doing 35, I thought I may as well do 35, and so slowed to 35. That learned him, lol.

Thats too many, if it’s a serious genuine complaint such as using the vehicle aggressively to intimidate, and if they submit video evidence, you will be got rid of, good paying companies keen to keep their public image won’t have it.

Id argue that they’re not good payers (unless you rely on suppliments and ridiculous hours) and their image was tarnished as soon as they had the trucks and trailers programme comissioned.

 but what a total prick though, what’s the chances that he didn’t use hands free to call either…

5 in 12 months, you could just be extremely unlucky, or drive an auto at 44t on roundabouts a lot, but id agree with both sides if they took the time to ring it must have been a dodgy one, but also how many times a day do you get the fingers for pulling out and having the cheek to not immiediatly be doing 75 like most car drivers

Dozy. Are you going to blame the fact you drive for stobarts as the reason you get complaints? If so why have I only had one in 8 years? (To be fair i was guilty but denied it.) Is it because you a very poor trolley Dolly style driver?

do what I read about some driver doing,he put a premium rate number on the back of his vehicle then apparently drove like a ■■■■,you can guess the rest, good idea though

dozy:
Is 5 in 12 months a lot ,I don’t think it is ,roughly 1 every 2 months ,considering the miles we drive per day ,week ,month ,year and the idiots we’ve got too put up with every day indontbthink it’s a bad score ,I mean we’re outbthere too move loads not make friends .
You’d think the t.o bods would have something better too do with there time than take notice of some [zb] stirring car driver :unamused: :unamused: :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:

You must of scarred them for the people to complain, you must be a bully on the road, chill out

zero in 30 years

No wonder the op want to work on farms and forests. No people to complain about his poor driving.

5 complaints in 12 months is bad. Stobart motors don’t even have a number on the back if memory serves, or anywhere, so people have even taken the time to look up contact information as well. :open_mouth:

If the allegations bore out, I’d be pointing you towards the door and advising you to make sure it didn’t hit you on the arse on your way out.

tommy t:
AT STOBRATS All this about TM’s beliving what these idiots ring up complaining about and then sacking or bollocking drivers for it, is another clue how zb’ed this job really is now

FTFY :grimacing:

Once upon a time, :sunglasses: if anyone rang stobrats, :unamused: they’d believe THEM instantly, :open_mouth: the kangaroo court had operated without you being there! :imp: the amount of guys I had to go in with on disciplinarys was unreal! :smiling_imp: :bulb:

Number is on the back of every cab, or it used to be

If the White Star Line had that policy, the Titanic might’ve made it. Captain Smith was on first name terms with the insurance company from what I’ve read.

You’d do well to catch a number on the back of the cab though wouldn’t you, unless it was running solo.
