I have asked Robinhood, I have even tried contacting Comdata and Irving fuels but get no joy even though Robinhood has done his best.
Where can I get fuel using Comdata between Houghton ME and Truro NS ?
It’s ok, I found one.

Ha … You wouldn’t believe how much trouble I had trying ? First my good mate Robinhood who actually lives there and drives the route regularly couldn’t find one, then I contacted Comdata who didn’t know … How the hell that happens I don’t know, then a lady I know in Nova Scotia found one in St Johns which was way off route, then Irving said they didn’t take it in Canada, in the end another lady sent me a link and I found a Petro Cnanda in Moncton, as you can see by the link, I called them and they take Comdata and are open 24 hours.
I’ve never known anyone here have a Comdata card before. As I told you on facebook, we all have Irving cards here which are linked in with TCH and work pretty much anywhere. At Donnelly Farms way back on those early dark days of my Canadian life we also had a T-Check card that we very occasionally used in the US but hardly ever as the Irving card works at all Flying J’s, Pilots, TA’s, Loves, Hess’s etc and at hundreds, if not thousands of small locations too. The fuel chains we have in the Maritimes are all Canadian ones, the main one being Irving and then you have Ultramar and Petropass, which each have their own fuel cards, that most Canadian fleets would have but very few if any US fleets would.
It would seem its far easier for a Canadian truck to get fuel in the US than vice versa but then, as Canadian trucks we’re largely geared towards most/all of our work involving going to the US, while the average US firm is strictly US operating, with a small amount of Canada work, sometimes, if ever.
We use comdata up here Pat but only really go as far east as Winterpeg
Petro Pass take comdata, but only the card locks.
I stopped at the Irving just before the scales at Salisbury NB, they took it but only on pump 11 for some reason, I also got an email from Comdata telling me I could use the card at Petro Pass in Moncton, but as I never got the email until last night it was pointless
You know for next time. Will there be a next time?!
Not sure mate ? It’s a regular load but the guy who collects it from California usually does the whole trip, I don’t know why he turned back in Worcester MA this time.
That chip shop is ‘Delux fish and chips’ exit 14 off 102, turn east and it is between McD’s and BK.
