Collecting from IDS Transport Evesham?

Got delivery tomorrow (Sun) to Morrisons Thrapston … then got collection from IDS Transport. Honeybourne Airfield, Evesham.

Got collection details + map + route … printed from Google maps :unamused: Routes me A14 / M6 / A46 Coventry, Warwick / A439 Stratford on Avon / A4300 … then onto B4632 … BUT on my road atlas this has a bridge marked @ 11’ 3" :exclamation: … but it looks, if you go onto B4081 … this takes you under a 15’ bridge … then you can go back to B4632 :question:

Anyone know if this route is ok … or is there a better route in :question: :question: have you got to go around via Evesham :question: :question:

I thought some-one on here might know this address … i 've seen their trucks in Morrisons … failing this might have to resort to a quick phone call :sunglasses:

Be quicker to stay on a46 until evesham

Stay on the A46 till you get into the general evesham area. Honeybourne airfield (HGV Route) is signposted, from there. Its the safest way by a mile. lots of “hidden suprises” around there. add to that, the fact that my cash strapped council are behind on the road maintenence front. I drive an artic, and I generally think worcestershire and Lincs are the worst areas for pot holes/ subsidence.

If it were me I’d go through Badsey - there are no weight limits, just a tricky bend in the village.

Agree with Santa and 205,A46 to Evesham,then B4035 through Badsey and Bretforton.Industrial estate is sign-posted.When you’ve turned into the estate,just follow the road down and you will see IDS after you have passed the car sales place on the long right hand bend.

Thanks guys. I wondered if it would be better to stay on A46 and come in the other way. I NEVER trust these Google map directions that the office give me :unamused: … they do it, because of the Latvian drivers they employ :wink: . I know one of the Latvians has been to this place, but his English is so poor - it is pointless asking him which way he went :unamused:

Not bothered if the stuff isn’t there … i have got copy of manifest & CMR, also copy of email from the Spanish transport Co. saying the truck will be there by 2pm Sun :laughing: … but as i am paid on “hours” … not my problem :laughing: . Worst will be, if i get there Sun and the stuff isn’t there … trying to get hold of anyone at the firm i drive for … the managers will ALL be at home with their mobiles turned OFF :exclamation:

A46 then go through badsey mate use it regular.

3 palls was supposed to arrive @ 2pm. I phoned from drop @ Thrapston @ 4pm … it had JUST arrived :exclamation:
Followed all your advice … down A46 … off at Badsey … followed signs … that B road is a bit rough :wink: … into IDS … loaded and doors shut in 15 mins :smiley: .

Knew i could rely on the peeps on here to get reliable directions … i had thought perhaps A46 should be the way to go in … but just wondered if there was another route ( but obviously not :wink: ).
