Anyone been in the new ‘improved’ Cobham service station lately? I knew they were rearranging things but the result is a disaster! There’s no direct route to the HGV fuel - you have to go through the truck park - and they didn’t bother to realign the parking bays on the right as you drive in now that traffic flow is the other way. When I arrived an El Mosca truck was trying to reverse a sharp right into one of the bays that faced the wrong way round, causing a queue of trucks to build up at the entrance which also meant cars couldn’t get out of the slip roads from the M25.
Not a bright idea, I think!

Spot on! Drivers seem to take delight in watching someone struggling, and then slagging them off. Different times…

I didn’t; I was too far back. He eventually gave up. I wasn’t slagging him off but the new layout.

I’m sure you weren’t. That’s not the point though is it? If you, (by “you” I mean anyone in the line of queuing trucks) aren’t going anywhere until the manoeuvre is completed, then it’s actually in your best interests, in time terms, to get out and wave him back. Even if they don’t need it. Forget common courtesy, or manners, it would be more EFFICIENT!
Too many will just stand/sit, laugh/point, or worse - get the camera phone out…
What needed to be done at these “services” is for the additional surrounding land to be bought up, and the truck park massively expanded - NOT just re-drawn by some idiot who can’t find his arse with both hands on a good day…
