Co op Huntingdon closing

The COOP bank will never bring down any other part of the COOP group as they are seperate entities.

Correct that they are separate entities, incorrect that it can’t affect the Co-operative Group. They are looking at selling the Farming and Pharmaceutical side to fill the black hole left by the bank. They are all separate in a sense they all have a separate management structure but it all goes into one pot at the end of the day and is run as a Group and the Chief Executive is in charge of all areas of the Group.

Oh, I’m surprised at that, I thought the rest of the group would not have had to bail the bank out as it could of as has been said sink the whole shooting match. Hopefully they along with the other muppets have learnt a lesson.

At Andover all the X COOP drivers were still on old contracts and pay scales.

Worked at Exel Logistics about 15 years ago on the Huntingdon Somerfield contract.
Started off with a crappy DAF 2100 and finished with a DAF 75.
Stores were crap to get into but had a few laughs there.
Especially when following the maps and directions they gave.
Sad news it’s going.
