All I got to say, is you lads take care if you go out tonight, keep moving or you might end up on the bonfire, Dave we will know if it’s anyone up north with their malt whisky habit, we will see the glow down here!
hiya,
Norm, not much chance of me being thrown on the bonfire tonight, I’m
far too handsome to be mistaken for Guy Fawkes, the Missus has gone to
the Bingo so I’m going to settle down with a Macallan or two, peace and
quiet for a few hours, bliss.
thanks harry, long retired.
Got the radio blasting country music this way,as our dog goes banana’s if he hears a bang.
Cheers Dave.

Even Dennis knows that.
Cheers , cattle wagon man.
I reckoned I get a response from the North-West of England.
No Roy,we are well in front of the UK,not in debt either, bags of cash, spilling out of the banks into the streets, the place is awash with it…

If Chris was a decent chap, He would collect a bag full, fill up a shoe box full and send them to you Harry. I am going to London soon , if the city is paved with gold, I will send you a couple of slabs by the scottish drivers, if I see them in Dirty Dicks.

You could borrow the transit Harry, but its been a sod to start lately. The battery isn’t down, but I am having a better quality heavy duty fitted which hopefully will sort it out.Its got heavy duty batteries on now,but these last two haven’t seemed as good,so the one that does the van is being replaced for a top quality battery. If that doesn’t do the trick, its goodbye transit.
I can’t abide a vehicle that won’t start.
Cheers Dave.

She is on her laptop most evenings Harry and reads quite a few of these threads. As for the starting handle,I used one on my Austin A35 van in the 1960’s for a few weeks, because I was to tight to buy a new battery. I also remember using one on a Bedford TK which was a long handle to reach the pulley as the engine was mounted further back.
Cheers Dave.

Sorry Norm.I read the post wrong it was you that said about Tracy reading it,and not Harry.I’ve lost the plot mate.
Cheers Dave.
hiya,
Tracy there’s no way I would suggest you trying to start the Transit
with a starting handle, don’t want her damaging her camera hands
doing that menial task.Dave you just buy her some gloves and let her
push the thing, now where did I put my tin hat, I’ve pushed my luck.
thanks harry, long retired.

Harry, she would be wasting her time pushing an automatic to start. Also she has got osteoarthritis in her spine ( early stages ) so that’s a no go. I think a good battery is the answer to the transit,as its starting the last couple of days, now the weather is warmer. When its cold the battery isn’t man enough,so I’ve ordered a good quality heavy duty battery, which will hopefully do the job. I have a starter pack which will start it if needed, but its a damned nuisance having to use that.
So new battery here we come,or scrap heap.
Cheers Dave.
