Clearing up old lorries [Merged]

boyesadabest:
Accidently put this in the drivers section, does anybody know where i can clear up some old lorries im in somerset and have 2x magnums 04/54 2x premiums 03/54 all out of mot and a 56 plate volvo fh just been motd, all of them are runners

I’ve moved it for you, then merged the two topics together so all the replies are kept together.

I hard that the Africa market is on its knees at the moment as they can import basic brand new trucks from China for little more than the price of a seven year old Volvo.

Just my opinion but I really can’t see those Chinese trucks lasting as long as the Scanias & Volvos they’ve been using for years.

Have you seen some of the ancient wrecks still working in china? As a simple cheap motor they will do well.

Know it’s a bit of a thread bump, but I’m currently sat on DFDS riverside Immingham, and parked up for export are

59 man tgx
54 scania 4 series topliner
62 and 12 merc actros’ euro6. (Wonder how there gonna go down in Africa)
07 scania r series topliner
56 merc axor

I though new stuff wasn’t wanted by Africa?

Might be heading to some of the eastern European countries?

Harold Reed still loves a ERF, keeping it ‘Oldskool’:
