Hi, anyone know any companies whom may take new driver for class 1 on Kent or south east London areas? 
Have you contacted any agencies? I’m with Driver Hire and have had quite a bit of class 1 work even though I only passed last September. I’m signed with Twickenham, London West, Guildford, Gatwick and Kingston branches - obviously they may be a bit far for you, but try the Maidstone and Ashford branches as they cover the ME and TN areas which is most of Kent and a bit of Sussex. I presume there’s a Dartford area branch too. Class 2 work will be easier to come by as there is less risk involved, but there are definitely companies that will have a new driver, especially for odd days.

TRG have just taken me on as a new driver and they’ve been really helpful in getting me started

I hear that Driver Hire are looking for Class 1 drivers in the Slough area,are they ok to work for ? And most important (for me) is it PAYE ?

Haven’t worked for them much as I fell out with them last year and got dropped. Twickenham (which serves the other side of Heathrow) and Guildford are OK. All Driver Hire branches offer PAYE but most use the umbrella company (Outsauce, trading as Driver Hire Umbrella).

As IndigoJo says,give the agency’s a go,just coming up to the busy season so I reckon you’ll pick something up nae bother - get some much needed experience under your belt,nothing to lose and all that.
