 I hate arriving at these threads late!!!

Youā€™re never late when you drive a V8.

Ohā€¦ :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

 I like that!!

While we are on the subject of class 1 and 2 arrogance, who is your mate Dai?

I was tipping 3 pallets of bricks when this peasant of a rigid driver blocked the forkie from getting at them, ā€œonly got one pallet mateā€ he saysā€¦ Shame I can be just as awkward, I got the fork lift driver to put some pallets in front of him so he had to wait until I was done anyway, sad thing is he had about 20 ft behind him still and could have cleared my pallets with his cab in the first place.

Just to add, he did actually seem alright, no malice involved or anything.

I am the said peasant and driver of this vehicle, although you might have estimated i had 20 foot of space behind me you did not calculate i had to unload with a tail lift and due to other vehicles there at the time if i had gone back any further i would have then had to drive forward to take the 1 pallet indoors as contract states i have to deliver indoors not outside.

That said, i did not take any notice of the pallets in front of my truck, it did give me the chance of going over to the tea van to get a cuppa, i think i might have said that to you at the timeā€¦ Sorry if i got in your way, it is not my intention to annoy anyone at anytime, Dai did tell me i was featured on this forumā€¦ If i see you again at the same place the tea is on meā€¦ I have great respect for all drivers especially class 1 drivers, although some do annoy me sometimesā€¦lol.

Thats a furkin tiddler mateā€¦have a look at our aussie cousins, grossing 100 + tonnes ā€¦4 trailers, were just the puddle jumpers here on our 44 tonners. :unamused:

Iā€™ve been in an 18 tonner puddle jumper all week on nights trundling up and down the A1. With the exception of several of Eddieā€™s king-of-the-road super truckers that refused to flash me after having the audacity to overtake them, every other trucker flashed me in. Iā€™ve also earnt more this week driving a puddle jumper than Iā€™ve ever earnt driving artics. :astonished:

I do class 1 and 2 and anything else I can get as long as they pay my hourly rateā€¦I couldnā€™t give a toss what it is!!

True matey, as long as its legal and roadworthyā€¦its what goes in the bank at the end of a week.

I do find that Stobarts donā€™t flash anyone in at all.

Class 1 or 2 are treated the same at work.
It depends on what other quals you have that count.
ADR & Lorry Loader counts for a lot more than just having hgv1 or 2.
Anyone who swaggers round the yard will soon be told to loose the chip on there shoulder!!!

Thatā€™s strange, I find they are the some of the keenest to flash other artics in. If you ignore the first flash, theyā€™ll keep on flashing until you come in.

Maybe they donā€™t flash you in because youā€™re just driving a big van?

I never flash in the big vans cause theyā€™ve usually got Rent a Wreck self drive or Joe Bloggs rental written on the sides, and driven by someone who thinks that their billy big rig

Thats fine it was all done tongue in cheek no big deal, no malice no probs
I must admit that there is certainly some length to your truck, longer than most 4 wheelers.

No offence taken . Iā€™m there again tomorrow to get in someone elses way probably. Thereā€™s not much room there at all. My truck is long with a nightmare of an overhang and it donā€™t like turning either. It does make you look like you canā€™t drive sometimes.
