Have you ever used a drive in cinema ? And if so I wager it was not raining…

Why would anyone pay to watch a film when the picture quality is so badly degraded by the rain between the projector and the wet screen that it’s it difficult to see at best between sweeps of the windscreen wipers.

Then there is the added frustration of being unable go hear the dialogue which is being drowned out by the rain hammering down on the roof. Compounded by the engines that are running to keep the battery charged to run the wipers and add heat to the tin box your sitting in.

You can transmit the audio on a dedicated radio station. I’m not saying it would be easy, but it has been done before.

I thought they all did that now. There’s fewer and fewer in the states but the one I went to had a dedicated FM transmitter
