Have they changed the parking at all? I am surprised the neighbours opposite don’t complain but they do have a few local regulars and tradesmen who use it.
It is one of my little favourites and even though the thread is reborn again, we can all support the cafe
Wow. Normally at this point I would post a Holy Thread Revival Batman pic, but I haven’t been there since I posted originally, as I don’t really do nights out nowadays.
But if I do get asked, and happen to be down that way, then a visit may be in order.
Good update guys.
Ken.
Stopped at a right little gem last night, and that is Chris’s cafe on the A40 between High Wycombe and Bicester.
The full address is:
Chris’s Cafe
Wycombe Road
Studley Green,
High Wycombe,
Buckinghamshire

Now as I’m a fussy bugger,I am a bit particular as to where I park on the occasion I do a night out,and as I was collecting out of Bicester this morning,I looked this place up in the Highways Agency guide that is about 3 years old.Belled them up,and asked what time they finished serving food, and was told 7pm.
So what did I have?
Well,I had proper home made steak pie, (Non of this tin foiled crap.) chips peas and gravy, tea, bananas and custard, and the price…?
It came all in with the parking which is £15. RESULT!!!
There is a tv room, with old cinema house seating.Very quaint.
The main toilets and wash basins were spotless,as was the 1 shower, which is 20p for 5 mins, and these are accessible 24 hours a day,and if you are unfortunate enough to have a day cab, they have rooms as well.
And the staff are very friendly.
There is only enough room for about 20 trucks,so get there early, and give these guys your custom if you are in the area.
Does it get the Quinny seal of approval?
You bet it does.

Yes mate when i was on the road i used to use it,glad to hear its still going. As you say everything is spot on the only downfall is the parking[too small]and you get a good quiet kip.
regards dave.
Your right on the kip Dave.
if it wasn’t for my mate ringing me at 05.10 this morning,I would have probably still been there.

Aye its a shame theres not many of the
old good cafes like chrises left
regards dave.
Address is right, directions are wrong.
It’s on the A40 between J5 M40 (Stockenchurch) and West Wycombe. about one & half miles on left from M40. Keep your eyes open 'cos if there are no trucks in there you could easily fly straight past. Forget any reference to High Wycombe or Bicester.
Good cafe though and worth a look. Better than most.
