Lovely fella, just needs telling what bloody retire means :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

Retirement

(noun)
the point at which someone stops working, esp. because of having reached a particular age or because of ill health, or the period in someone’s life after they have stopped working
He announced his retirement many times.

Wasnt there a thread a while back saying he jacked it in and the scania was loaded with machinery and was going to afghanistan

Here he is.

For anyone who did any time on the m/e knows, there’s nothing after it to compare, life is never the same again.
When anyone has done it as long as Hooperman has, what else is there in life?
I suspect he’ll do it now until he drops.
I’m sure it was my mate Alan Jones,(Mr. Magoo) that took Hooperman on his first m/e trip when we were on for Expo Freight.Seem’s like a lifetime ago,it WAS a lifetime ago. After all,I did another job for 18 years after I finished, and I’ve been retired for 7 years as well.

i said the same ian when trucker ash said he wouldnt do it again i knew he would go back on

He was driving for his mate when i spoke to him at cardiff,he was loading for belguim,he made the four hours we were waiting to load go quicker anyway.Trouble was everybody wanted to help him strap down and do his curtains up for him.

met chris hooper in belguim on wednesday a great bloke passed an hour on with him .
and learnt a few thing off him two
