pete davies, who lived across the road from me, drove comer maxiload, fbv 816d if l am right, often to Liverpool docks for cotton, paper
from darwen to peterlee, bread rapping paper from magull to Basildon and many other places, their was also driver George Duxbury, who lived across the road from me, and his lad mick, and would also travel with them, chew ,s first artic being j reg aec mercury, pulling in 4 in line trailer, I think made by primrose, Blackburn, only travelled in this twice, also in ewood area redmain and issherwood, ran mint Bedford km,s with coach wheel trims, any body remember them, good days.

Sorry don’t think the photo is same company, the photo shows a builders merchants truck,thanks for trying to find something, chews fleet as l remember was commers, apart from aec Mercury unit, and a mandator unit on an L reg. Commers c series, and maxi loads, and a couple of 1950’s early type commers dumped in the rear of the garage in the late1960,s, reg numbers for the ones I remember were, ?..TD RBV 683 ?, ATJ 334A, ATJ 335A, FBV 816D ?, …G, NBV…H all in maroon , and one single headlamp commer, in blue with white cab roof, which burnt out on a59 at. Much hoole cafe, Driver len ?, lived on rockcliffe street., sad that I can rember all that!
