Can anyone recommend a fuel station that will give my commercial rates on a debit card around southampton?
I’ve applied for some cards, but until I get approved i’m paying cash. This week i’m paying 96p a litre exclusive of Vat, I reckon that’s about 8p a litre over the odds.
Theres a shell station at the bottom of the a34 pump price is normally fairly good. Think its 1.10 at the moment, so 88p excluding vat. If you go that way. Or the services off junction 2 m27 can be okay sometimes.
I used to do fuel up regularly at supermarkets a few yrs ago … Safeway @ Bellshill was good … could get under canopy, unit only ( cb twigs used to rattle on the canopy - scare the car drivers ).
Only used to get 100lts before pump shut off … then go again … used to use credit card … got Goldfish points + Safeway points card to get Loyalty points … Win Win
Was cheaper than using fuel card … just used to top-up to get back into France / Belgium. Worth looking at doing something like this today … get M&S credit card … you get Loyalty points for vouchers ( pay for the wife’s knickers ).
Morrisons do points card for fuel, but think they have limited the points you can earn, as truckers were using some sites that are “truck friendly” and earning too many vouchers
Thanks for the replies, I really should have included the truck height, I need 4.5m clearance, dropping my trailer is not really a viable option, but luckily I found somewhere with a hgv pump.
The shell garage on Thomas Lewis way (a335) is currently at 92p excl. Vat. Access is little tight as it’s a small forecourt, but perfectly doable. The hgv pump is open so no restrictions there.

They recently gave in and its full points again , i get at least £10 of vouchers a week
