Changing Address on DQC

I need to send my Driving licence/photocard off to change my address!! Does the DVLA automatically change the address on Driver Digi card and Driver Qualification Card (DQC)■■ Thanks guys…any info appreciated

no you dont have to, so long as theyre notified, but d/l yes.

I thought the new ones don’t have an address on any more? Or is that just the new tacho cards?

Changed address on my licence a couple of weeks ago and automatically got new DQC as well. Another waste of money as the original didn’t even have my address on it.

Meant to add you need to apply for digi card separate and can’t be done online. I believe new issue digi’s don’t have an address on them. I’m just sticking with mine untill it expires.

I have just applied online to DVLA to change my address!!! I guess I will receive a NEW DQC at the same time?? Yes I see I have to apply for a NEW DIGI CARD…even though it does not have your address on the new DIGI CARDS!!! Wonder WHY they cant just UPDATE everything at the SAME time :imp: I think they will send me a NEW ADR CARD TOO!!! Cheers guys

Unfortunately the ADR card/licence is no longer linked to your driving licence…the address change has to be communicated direct to SQA (awarding body) via Email or post at: sqa.org.uk/sqa/21685.html

Neither my DQC nor my Digicard have my address on them.

Thanks Daz…Will get this sorted too

Just received my new driving licence today,

Section 1 on the back of the counterpart “Changes to name, permenant address and health”

Please remember also to change your address on any Vehicle registration documents (V5C) or digital tachograph card that you have. Your digital tachograph details can be changed by filling in a D777B or D777B(DL) which you can download from gov.uk/browse/driving

But if you follow their link to the Govt website, it says

Don’t use this form if your driver card has no address on it - you only need to change the address on your driving licence.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Thank you for your e-mail received on 22nd August.

The Drivers CPC records reflect the details held by the DVLA. You will therefore need to change your address on your driving licence with the DVLA.

Any future DQC’s will be issued to the address on your driving licence as the DVLA send this to you, so it is necessary to advise them of any change in details.

As your address is not printed on your DQC you do not need to exchange this.

Regards,

CPC Section
