Discovered the Chalet transport cafe the other night, its about 10mins from Pease Pottage at Cowfold, turn off A23 to A272, half mile left on to A281, half mile on right. FREE parking( and get a £10 “parking ticket” 
) freshly cooked food to order for about £6, breakfast £5, and if you fancy a pint the pub is a 5min walk.
i stopped there a few weeks ago. a propper old fashioned transport cafe run with drivers in mind.
Always liked The Chalet but haven’t parked there since about March as I rolled up one day to find they had closed about 14:00, must’ve revised their hours again which is good news, as Arnie said…“I’ll be back”
