Chagos islands

I have only just heard about this. However it seems like another brilliant idea by starmer. He obviously thinks so too as he is rushing to push it through before trump comes to office. Wont admit how much its going to cost and his solution to the base that is one one of the islands is oh we will just rent it back including all the other infrastructure.

If anyone thinks this is a good idea do i have a deal for you… give me your house and/or car and i will rent it back to you.

He’s just a Communist doing what’s good for his Chyarnese boss.

I think you would profit from reading the history of that place, the inhabitants of which have been banished from their homes for 40 odd years, even though successive British governments have acknowledged it to be illegal.

If you mean the people that wanted to live under Mauritius law so moved there…it was their choice… same as the british indian comunity that came to england when india was given back same with windrush

Yeah, but surely you realise that was Kier Starmer’s fault too.

I’d like to nominate KS for several other offences to be “taken into consideration”:

  1. The attack on the twin towers,
  2. the attack on Pearl Harbour,
    and of course,
  3. the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand.

I’m still awaiting confirmation that it is KS who is responsible for all the road incidents involving HGVs; currently we’re still blaming that unnamed cyclist.

Well, I don’t know about all of those but Archduke Ferdinand is definitely down to him.

Yep brilliant bit of politics Keir…seeing as YOU are in charge of the current shower of sh, and it’s lame duck policies,.so who else is to blame exactly?

Great strategy to pi55 off the guy who is soon to become (like it or not is irrelavant btw) ‘The leader of the free world’ and all that it entails, not to mention (again like it or not) our most prevalent and powerful ally. the main player in NATO, and especially at the time of the present volatile Russian situation.
To put in layman’s terms, basically in the event of a severe world tits up situation, the UK is Donald Ducked without him/them.
So yeah, nice one Kier.

My Dad reckons the Royal Navy even used this base when he was in, and why give it to ‘nearby’ Mauritius, he tells me it is over a thousand miles away, and apparentlly all the locals want British rule.

Anyone think that Gibraltar and the Falkland islands will still be UK controlled by the end of the current government’s regime?

Simple, give it to us. It’s in our region and we could keep the US base going, while gaining greater choice for refugee processing. Win/win.
