Because the channel was clear, the inane ■■■■■■■■ started after the subbie started giving directions. It’s the same in the quarry; You can be getting instructions from weighbridge/dozer driver etc and somebody who can blatantly hear the conversation will cut over, normally talking ■■■■■■■■.
TBH the majority of cb talk is crap, someone wanting to know if the’ve got more work than you, “keepin it lit” and other inbred American phrases.

Probably is mate but it’s accompanied with “keep on truckin” “£x for a pair of lights blah blah blah…”
and more random crap I nirmally switch the cb off and then get called unsociable when I don’t talk to people.

I have only ever had one other job since 16 ,you have had at least three this year , I not knocking you mate but it does come across like there is some thing wrong .

Not just me but a few are annoyed with the interruptions.
Steve first job was bad for family life (and aggravated my knee, no trouble now though). This one was never going to be long term but got me back onto nice hours and tipper work.
The new one’s closer to home, better wagon more varied work. A new flag arrived today for the new truck (Oxfordshire flag). They’re going to put a few of my old bits and bobs on the truck when it arrives (going to fit my own cb properly in this one too).
