I’m looking at a career change. Can anyone recommend a good LGV driver training school. I live in SE Northumberland. In addition and maybe more importantly what are folks views on the outlook for newly qualified drivers? I’m 53 and have had a long and varied career, good life and people skills, professional attitude and well travelled.

Being a long time lurker, you’re probably aware that we provide residential training courses (with test on our own private site) for candidates from all over the UK and have done for many years with huge success.
With free accommodation, fully trained, registered and qualified instructors (anything but normal and not a legal requirement) 10% Trucknet user discount, it all adds up to a lot of sense.
Prospects for work vary geographically. Your age isn’t against you. In fact, turn it into a positive. You’re mature and sensible (I hope!).
