Great shot, Brockhouse trailers i believe, Transporter Man will put us right.
Hi Dieseldogsix, what a hybrid that BRS Guy is, definately looks to me to be an adaptation of one of the old Oxford depot body pallets, its still got its feet on.
Incidentally the Commer/Scammell artic parked up behind, the Aluminium box body was also a pallet and could be interchanged with the body pallets or even flat body pallets.
Have you any more related pictures.
Thanks, ExiledDevonian
We had just picked these two up from Volvo Darlington, myself and Mark Harrow, who is now on Carlson’s. July 31st 2002.
These 3 are of the weekend shift, Me, Mark & Chris, most Sundays we would be parked on Farthing Corner ( Medway) for the youngsters, for an early start up to Sandtoft, then home to Coventry and finish Monday morning, that use to p— the weekday boys off.

Ta for that transporterman.
Now going back a bit again, Carfax Transporters, same load going around for photo shoots. I remember them but can’t think where they were based.
oiltreaderCould be Bicester or Brackley I think I can remember seeing them from the road near a railway bridge
Carfax were based at Brackley, a small yard, good bunch of drivers, I’m scratching my head, trying to think of Dave? who took over at Milton Keynes for Ray Smith’s latest venture late 80’s ?
Dave Carpenter.
Both his brothers drove for Carfax, bill & aubrey
