Cannot book Part 2 - Case studies

ROG:
why would you choose 2 tests which can be failed instead of the 35 hours attendance training

I’ll probably end up doing that. There are no practical training courses available until July anyway, so i’ll have plenty of time.

Can someone in the know explain how taking the 35 hour CPC would work, given that DVSA are saying I need to phone to book the Part 2 Case studies?

I.e. does taking the 35 hour CPC course automatically negate the part 2 and 4 requirement, and if so, how does it get recorded with the DVSA?

Those with a pre 1997 car licence have a free LGV C1 so can book the 35
All others need to pass tests mod 2 + mod 4

So do I not need to pass Part 4 either? Just Part 3a and 3b?

Modules if going from car to artic with a pre 1997 licence
1a LGV theory
1b HPT
3a reverse un/couple
3b on road
35 hours periodic cpc
You might be lucky and get some of the 35 for the artic training if the provider has them
Digicard you can get now
With pre 97 licence you can do all 35 hours now

I thought I had this all planned out, but now doubting my plan. I thought if I do mod 2 and 4 (although costing a bit more) would save me taking one week of work. Now I’m thinking of doing 35hrs incase I fail mod 4 and have to repeat. So confusing especially since you can do 35hrs online, some places do evening and weekend training. Please correct if I am wrong

OK thanks for clearing that up, especially on Christmas day
I’ll get in contact with the training provider in the new year to discuss options.

I wondered where the normal TV programmes had gone …

Yes I’ve seen one provider that offers it online evenings and weekends 3.5 hrs a day on consecutive days. Can’t remember the name.
