Well thats cleared that one up.!! Why is it so compicated? (weekly rest period/boarding ferrys etc…) The last time I worked away for long periods we just turned round at the port and kept going! was in the 80’s & 90’s.I’m sure Felix Baumgartner never had this much hassle>.Thanks for the help guys.
I had a thought on this, and think in reality you could take the a full weekly rest in your cab because there don’t say you can’t in the regulations.
And consider this if a driver is pull up by Vosa and gets parked for 45 hours, sometime see them in their cab, so if Vosa can do that then it must be ok, and also think of this you would not be in the cab for 45 hours and you would have to get out sometimes.

Yes it does by inference - it says what you CAN do and a full weekly rest is not included in that

Yes in reality you can, and I doubt any body has ever been done for it.
To the letter of the law though, it isn’t allowed.

I do one weekend away and one at home. Thats either a 24 off or a 45 off. as long as the wheels don’t turn on my 45hr rest it’s legal to carry on as normal for another week.
