Calais to copenhagen

hi could anybody give me some information regarding this job cheapest route price of ferry lupec 6axles euro 5 can u use as24 card german tax viygnette ect thanks

Funninly enough i’m going to Sweden next week, the way we are routed for minimal cost is;Calais-Antwerp-Breda-Utrehct-Zwolle-cut the corner at Groningham via Veendam-into Germany-Oldenberg-Breman-Hamburg-Puttgarten-ferry to Rodbyhavn-then 2hrs to Copenhagen, not sure of cost but we go this way to minimise the German toll.

This way.

I went that way last year. I like that little ferry ride. You get a discount on the food too!

Used to be on those ferries up to 6 times in a week, doing heathrow <>Copenhagen back to back, I once fell a sleep on it one night ,en route back to the uk , one of the crew woke me up, as i got in the van i noticed that they had loaded it up ready to sail back to Rodbyhavn ,

I did the same on the calais > dover boat that day too, got a nice 3.5 hrs in on that due to adverse weather , i didn’t even notice a thing, ,lol

But when i used to go i took the scenic routes Antwerp>Breda>Tlburg>hertogenbosch >A50 Arnhem,>Appledorn then hit the A1 to Osnabruck then Bremen Hamburg to puttgarden
Used to stop for fuel and something to eat and drink at this autohof

Sounds like you were doing the carousel…wouldn’t happen to have been on for that bunch in Hesketh Bank by any chance?

Obviously doing 6 per week, you didn’t have time to take a nice scenic drive through the North of Holland, maybe quicker, but definitely much further

Certainly was, in the early days when they paid job and run (per trip) so milage played apart and single manned & no stupid convoy’s , could stop when and where we wanted as no tracker’s either, and i only had a car licence

It wasn’t too bad run from hesketh bank to Deeside or sometimes heathrow, to Copenhagen
Then have a sleep tip, or tip then sleep , then re load and back to blighty, then depending on the time sometimes would get another 6-8hrs off before tipping, next morning , after tipping could be off for another 6 hrs or be driving empty to deeside to collect another Copenhagen ,

When i said the scenic route i was being sarcastic , but although that route is quite scenic in parts (A50) breda to appeldorn ( as i have since driven it during the daylight hours in a truck ) but during the small hours of the night anything different than looking at an endless unlit motorway provides some degree of stimulation, they very fact that your on some roads with street lighting, and that you have to stop at traffic lights ect , all helps keep you going (alert)
