Im traveling from cairnryan to the shetlands via Aberdeen ( for the boat ) next friday , will land in cairnryan mid morning , would there be many delays up to Aberdeen or is it a straight enough run with not much traffic to battle ? How are the roads after glasgow and so on ?

Depending on time of day your travelling, congestion at glasgow, perth, dundee and aberdeen, nothing to heavy though. All dual carraigeway. Take the road signposted for the harbour as you get into aberdeen, as this avoids a low bridge on riverside drive.
Now thats a trip I would like to carry out and be paid!!!
