Many thanks to you all who prompted an Old ■■■■’s brain cell. To get back to the original point, Ken Jones provided the contract haulage for H&Ps South Wales operation, although I believe that one or two vehicles were owner driven, as were some of the fleet at Poynton.

Keymead were based on the former Old Town dock which has now been redeveloped , they did haul out of the brewery at Magor . Also they did similar at the former USAF base at Caerwent , and Re Chem Pontypool , cc .

Yes definitely from the Welsh Border.F J Williams were from Preston on Wye near Hereford. They ran some interesting wagons over the years. Be great to see some of theirs.

G&K Hi , Keymead would have hauled paper reels that had been landed on the Old Town dock , by small coasters .
Steel coils were also landed in this manner and hauled by Mallet Transport, and they too were based on the dock .
Keymead were owned by Paul Fairweather group as well as Stanco exhibitions .@
