How that fleet has changed since then ! regards Keith .
I’ve been racking my old brain trying to remember the haulier- from Newport, I believe- who supplied the vehicles to H&P’s South Wales depot.
These still service the Poynton, Cheshire branch-
However, I can’t find a photo in Hall & Pickles livery!

ROF Hi , thanks for posting , all i can think of is that South Wales Commercials were the ERF distributors in Newport , cheers , cc.
They were on contract, cc. The name’s lurking in the back of my mind, but the only clue I can think of- and it just may jog someone’s memory_ is that they had a green 8-wheeler MAN on the coal convoy, although the fleet’s normal livery was another colour. Which also escapes me!

Just got back from a huge family wedding in God’s Own County and haven’t had time to search the YouTube clips yet. However, my remaining brain cell has prompted me that the firm in question had a Goldcliffe address. Anyone go a bit further with this one?

A piece of good advice there, pal. I’m doing exactly as you say right now! I’ve returned from God’s Own County with the remains of a litre bottle of Glenfiddich which I’m determined to polish off forthwith!
