Looks like the A417 at Nettledon ? Super pic as usual CC.
Cheers Dave.
Confirmed, Nettleton Bottom. There was at one time a plan to drive a huge sloping tunnel from the bottom of Crickley Hill to the roundabout at Nettleton in order to ease the constant queue of traffic at the Air Balloon. Obviously would have cost a fortune which is probably why the idea died a death years ago.

Did see that on central south news a few years back. Plenty of redundant coal miners would have soon dug a tunnel.
Cheers Dave.

There’s an oddity - an A-reg B series ?!
One of my bosses had a B-reg B-series. He’d bought it when Richard offered him a deal on a Rolls engine unit then kept it in the barn for years until he needed it.

Looks to be quite an early-ish model? Eaton rear axle and no fixed quarterlights in the doors as far as I can make out.
I’d say A520CUX is more likely to be a c series that’s been recabbed due to the round fuel tank.
A520CUX was a 1978. Dennis often bought lorries that would sit in a shed for a few years before being registered. Also Frank Ravenscroft would do the same. The longest was a Marathon being 14 years before registered, Hope that helps
Nev
harry Parkinson used to do the same with atkis, his yard was next door to atkinsons Walton le dale, preston.i remember him having 6 at one time in the 80s.!
