Hi CCcracking shot of Hourds 2800 not sure who the driver is, looks to small to be Geoff Colgate, maybe the lad with greased back hair…bugger can’t recall his name!

Went past their yard the other week, the she’d is still there and the house…did wonder what was in the shed■■? Maybe a barn find one day? :unamused: :open_mouth:

happy New Year

Hello steelboy , may be on old Foden of Hourds in that shed !! They had those s80 cab models . thank you Trevor .

Would be worth a knock at the door one day? You never know maybe one of those bl&@dy GUY Big Js he had…or a 2800 would be better…or cobwebs

Cracking pic cc. We hauled a lot of stone up there when they widened through Llanafan by the Red Lion and either side of the village. Steep road with underpowered lorries whichever way we went in from.
Cheers Dave.

Steelboy thatMarathon was like PDM 222V , i think . i can not remember the Sed atk , but they had a VolvoF10 pale blue not sign written so may be subbie . Was it Sealand or Shotwick there depot , cant remember now , perhaps near the firing range . thank you Trevor .

Hi Trevor, their yard was down the lane at the side of Quicks at Bretton, next to Ray Crofts, that’s thwart hon, Paul’s lad had a smash on the m56 near Preston brook as I recall and it was repaired I think Paul had the SA 400 before he had the Merc, the F10 was a bloke who’s name I can’t recall had a yard near the old chester football ground, firm went on to be Sunhill, if you look on the north Wales thread the trucks on there, was pale blue and red chassis, remember driving it once when I had a SA 400 day cab on for Shones, wow an F10    worlds apart I thought, cheers GB

Here is Steve’s Marathon. May 2014. A very neat motor.

And here along with some more vintage British motoring heritage.

Hello steelboy and David , This was at Prees Heath Truck stop , cc.

Hi CC,
I am assuming you know Steve Greenwood - I am sure he would love to have a copy of that pic. PM me in case you don’t have his details.
Would you know when that picture was taken?
Cheers
David
