Busy Mr Trump

Seriously?
To answer your well formed question…
As I keep saying mate…WAIT and see before just readily writing everything off.

Second answer how tf do I know??

Third answer in what context or world can economic sanctions be considered an ’ act of war’ by ‘Twumpy wumpy’’ '‘Putin tootin.’ or anybody else.

Who said there is none so blind as those who will not see?

In 1738 it was used by Jonathan Swift in his ‘Polite Conversation’ and is first attested in the United States in the 1713 ‘Works of Thomas Chalkley’. The full saying is: ‘There are none so blind as those who will not see. The most deluded people are those who choose to ignore what they already know’.”

So what did he actually achieve in his last term as POTUS?

40 new miles of Mexico wall. Paid for by the US.

Illegal immigration? Biden apprehended many more at the Mexico birder than Trump did. Illegal immigration to the United States - Wikipedia

Unemployment dropped under him. And after the hump of Covid, Biden repeated the trick. Historical U.S. Unemployment Rate by Year

GDP increased under Trump, at about the same rate as POTUS before and after him. U.S. GDP 1960-2025 | MacroTrends

As a businessman he made and lost loads. He bankrupted many who he worked with.
Look at what he started with, adjust for inflation, and look at what he had in 2016, taking account of the millions he owed, he made approx zilch.

But credit where it is due: he makes a loud noise in self promotion, and is a prime example of one part of a well known saying
“you can fool some of the people, all of the time”.
And it seems to me, a surprisingly large number at that.

There is another fallacy currently doing the rounds IMO.

Getting business people to run governments.
There is nothing wrong with wanting efficiency in government, but the aims of the two are very different.
Business is there to create profit and return money to investors such as share holders.
Government is there to give benefit to the whole population of a country. Not just a small section of it.

If a product is expensive and only has small sales then a business will just chop it off.
A business will cut costs, and will not care if jobs are lost or lives harmed by their actions. A gov should not do that. They are actively trying to increase employment!
Govs should be trying to help citizens first, and look to fund it after it has decided to do those things.

The two should have very different approaches as they have very different functions.

Racing cars and trucks have very different purposes and very different design criteria.
Both benefit from efficiencies, saving fuel use, but do not benefit from the same way of running them.

if russia doesnt bend and ceasefire whatll happen next? if i was putin seeing those bombed out cars in Moscow id let rip on Ukraine

Hitler got things done, Stalin got things done, Mao got things done, Napoleon got things done, Ghengis Khan got things done.

So along comes Trump to get more things done, oh, happy days. Just what we need.

JFK got things done, Churchill got things done, Thatcher got things done. What’s your point?

Don’t assume that Putain plays by the rules of “common sense” or “decency” or anything else. He knows no rules.

"Putin says sanctions over Ukraine are like a declaration of war" Putin says sanctions over Ukraine are like a declaration of war

That remark is cheap and shameful. Do you seriously think the posters who are against Trump don’t want peace? Do you think that we consider wasting 000’s of lives just because we think that Trump is a d1ckhead?

Some of us are looking at the bigger picture here. Trump is throwing a lifeline to Russia (for reasons unknown to any sane person) empowering Putin to annex whatever piece of territory he sets his eye on next. The capitulation of Ukraine might save some lives now but watch the number of lives Putin takes in the coming years. The current conflict will pale into insignificance.

The only way that a true and lasting peace will come about is if the Russian bear is put back in its cage. That won’t happen as long as Del Boy Trump and his own Rodney (Vance) are running the show.

LOL, he soon runs out of debate then gets personal, He has more bleedin’ twists & turns than George best ever had to save losing face in the comments, he’ll take you all around the houses & back again mentioning woke this woke that & then says I can’t be arsed. And he wonders why I don’t read the tripe he writes.

Sounds a fair analysis to me…given the theme of the thread and some of the content.

So the only alternative is is going to war with Russia, and kicking Putin’s ass, and ‘‘putting the bear back in the cage’’ …minus any involvement by the US …what could possibly go wrong?
Or hey…maybe Trump, he could impose economical sanctions on a country who’s economy is already on it’s arse…that may work.

It’s just came to me maybe Trump knows more about how to handle all this type of stuff than a few random British lorry drivers and a wannabe politician thousands of miles away…just a thought.

Yep, he often goes off to his pub. I am sure it is the “Fox and Grapes”.

:joy::joy:
Well firstly…I don’t wonder.
And if you dont read the tripe I write, how come you seem to know so much about it?
You need to think thrse things through mate before you post.

No kidding!
But do you think that Trump, who used to claim he wasn’t a politician, and has had a very checkered history as businessman, knows more than
His previous VP, Defence advisors, the leaders and military of UK, France Germany etc etc?

It is not a bunch of truck drivers analysing the situation, it is a whole raft of respected military, strategic, and political professionals…and Trump.

No kidding.
And STILL he got voted in as President on a democratic vote…or are you going to tell us ‘‘They did not realise what they wete voting for’’ a la Brexit.:joy::joy:

Does not alter the fact that you are still a ‘‘deluded tool who spouts leftist crap’’

Btw The fox and grapes thing…mildly amusing at first, but just so predictable now…you need some new comedy material mate
Buy hey if it makes you laugh,.and you keep getting likes off yer new bestie…who am I to spoil it.:joy:

And?

The US voted for Trump. A dumb move IMHO. The UK voted for Brexit, a dumb move IMHO.

Do all who voted for him realise at the time what he would do? Clearly not.
